What is Chase the Cure?

Chase the Cure is a cross-Canadian bike tour with Wes Bauer to raise funds to help end cancer. Wes’ father, Lyle Bauer, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers created the Never Alone Foundation as a result of his own experience with cancer. The help Lyle received during his own fight inspired him and Wes to help others end their struggles with cancer.

Raising Awareness in communities

Chase the Cure is making strategic stops in towns and cities throughout Canada. We will be spending time within these various communities to promote the feeling among Canadians that they are never alone in their battles.

The Chase the Cure ride concentrates on interacting with those affected by cancer. It is our goal to brighten the days of those who are currently battling the disease and let them know that Canadians are supporting them from coast to coast.

Where will the funds go?

While the Never Alone Foundation is currently working toward going national, the goal of the Chase the Cure campaign is for the funds raised in each province to stay within the province they are raised. Donations given to Chase the Cure will go to benefit local cancer patients in a variety of ways; from providing comfort to those who are going through treatment research toward finding a cure.

Making a difference together

Everyone’s support will help Chase the Cure reach its full potential. Through making donations, creating fundraising events, and a variety of other generous actions, Canadians can inspire each other to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
