Wesley Bauer 2009:

Wesley Bauer graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 2007 as the Maroon and White President. During his time with the school, he played left/right side for the Crusaders’ volleyball team, helping take home the MHSAA 2006-2007 Provincial Championship title, and was a Provincial All-Star. Wes was also recognized by the Winnipeg Sun as one of the top 15 volleyball players in his age group in Manitoba for 2007. He was honoured with the St. Paul’s Leadership Award, given annually to a student who goes above and beyond the expectations placed on him and shows exceptional leadership among his peers.

Wes attended the UBC Okanagan for the 2007-2008 term. The following summer, Wes worked at YMCA Camp Chief Hector in Alberta, and volunteered in Kelowna at The Collegium and YMCA Youth in Action.

Wes has taken the past year off school in order to devote his time to planning and organizing Chase the Cure, a bike ride across Canada to raise funds and awareness for cancer. He plans to return to British Columbia to attend the University of Victoria in September 2009.
